CHARTS: Elden Ring takes third No.1 on Steam

From Software's Elden Ring has spent its third week at the top of the Steam charts.

The title launched on February 25th to a hugely positive response, both critically and commercially, and previously hit a peak of 952,523 concurrent players on Steam following its release.

Valve's new Steam Deck hardware appeared in second place this week, likely off the back of hype around the console launching, meaning reviews and discussion on social media. The Valve Index VR headset, meanwhile, charted in sixth.

Core Keeper from Fireshine Games – aka the rebranded Sold Out – made its debut in fourth place, just ahead of the Survivors of the Void DLC for Gearbox Publishing's Risk of Rain 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 charted in seventh place thanks to a 50 per cent price cut, while Dread Hunger falls three places to No.8 week-on-week. Zombie romp Dying Light 2 Stay Human falls five places to ninth, too. Rounding off the Top Ten is 2K Games' WWE 2K22 following its March 11th release.

Here is the Top Ten for the week ending March 12th:

1. Elden Ring, Bandai Namco
2. Steam Deck, Valve
3. MISSING
4. Core Keeper, Fireshine Games
5. Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void, Gearbox Publishing
6. Valve Index VR, Valve
7. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar
8. Dread Hunger, Digital Confectioners
9. Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Warner Bros
