US publishing giant Electronic Arts has appointed Rachel Gonzalez to its board.

She has come to the games firm to serve on its board, effective immediately, and will also be serving on the company's Nominating and Governance Committee. Gonzalez is currently EVP and general counsel at Starbucks Coffee, a role she has had since 2018 when she left travel tech firm Sabre Corporation.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson added: “Rachel’s extensive leadership experience in the complexities of large-scale multinational business will be an invaluable addition to our Board of Directors. EA announced earlier in the year that CFO and COO Blake Jorgensen would be leaving the company.
