CHARTS: Monster Hunter Stories 2 takes No.1 spot on Steam

A new entry in Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise – Stories 2: Wings of Ruin – has taken the top spot on Steam.

The game debuted last week following its July 9th launch and came in at No.3, while pre-orders for the title charted in ninth place. The regular version of F1 2021 made its debut in at No.2, while the Deluxe Edition came in fourth. This title is the first Codemasters game that has been released since EA bought the firm earlier this year.

Valve's new Steam Deck hardware made a debut in third place following a surprise announcement and huge hype around the console last week, while its Index VR headset clocks in at sixth.

Action RPG She Will Punish Them from L2 Games comes to the Steam Top Ten in fifth place, coming in ahead of Gameforge's Swords of Legends Online, which was released back on July 9th.

New DLC for Total War: Warhammer II – The Silence and The Fury – came in at No.8, while pre-orders for Amazon's New World were the ninth highest-selling title on the platform.
