Capcom has shipped more than four million copies of the latest entry in its Resident Evil horror franchise, Village.

That's according to a release from the Japanese publishing giant, which says that it has reached this milestone 20 days after its initial May 7th release date.

At last count, more than three million copies of the horror smash hit had been shipped in its first four days on the market. Capcom has also revealed that as of March 31st, 2021, it has shipped nine million copies of Resident Evil 7.

The firm's series data page has also been updated, now pegging total Resident Evil game sales since its 1996 debut at 110 million.

Resident Evil Village has seen a lot of success on PC, shooting to the top of the charts on Steam on the week of its launch and attracting 106.6k concurrent users on the platform shortly after launch, a record for the franchise.
