Discord makes tweaks to help home workers due to coronavirus

Communications app Discord has upped the limit on its streaming and screen sharing features in order to help people working from home.

On Twitter, the firm said that these features would allow for 50 people to use the Go Live streaming and screen sharing from its normal 10. This increase is temporary for the next few months.

This is due to an increased number of people who are working from home at the moment due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

“We know a lot of you around the world are currently using Discord to keep in touch and preform daily tasks from keeping up with classes to working from home," the update read.

"We want to help make your world a little less stressful. We’ll keep this limit up while it’s most critically needed.”
