13 games companies got a perfect score on the annual HRC Corporate Equality Index

Multiple games companies have achieved a 100 per cent rating on the Human Rights Campaign's 2020 Corporate Equality Index as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

The survey is conducted every year, it rates top companies on how inclusive they are of LGBTQ employees and what inclusive cultures the company has such as sexual orientation, health benefits and gender identity.

Organisations were also judged on internal training for its staff to achieve the best practice for non-discriminatory behaviour. Overall, 686 firms were rated - 13 of which were in the games industry.

Companies with at least 500 full-time employees can choose to take part. However, participation is not mandatory.

The games focused companies included GameStop, Activision Blizzard, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Facebook and WarnerMedia - parent company of Warner Bros. Interactive - all of which achieved a perfect score.

Various PC manufacturers also achieved top marks, Lenovo, Dell, IBM, Intel and Nvidia.
