Webzen invites the public to enjoy a MU experience, with an art exhibition inspired by the popular MMO franchise

After recently announcing its collaboration with Japanese-inspired fashion brand Tokidoki, Webzen is ramping up its artistic endeavours, with an exhibition of artwork from MU, one of the Korean publisher's most iconic IPs.

The exhibition, titled MUTE, showcases 14 works by five famous Korean artists, all created with the theme of Play Gallery 'MUTE’: Things to see if you cut down on sound'.

Open to the public until October 30th, fans and art aficionados will have the chance to enjoy a serene experience of visual art, inspired by the dynamic lore of the game franchise. With the absence of game sound, the emphasis is placed firmly on the visual splendour, which can also be found in the unique branding on display with art books, mugs, phone accessories and other merchandise, all proudly showing off the MU aesthetic.

This foray into modern art is certainly no one-off and marks just the beginning of Webzen's ventures into new artistic territory. With plans to expand its IP's into music, film and animation, and even more events and collaborations with famous overseas artists in the works, the publishing giant is looking to expand its franchise and actively seek new potential partners.
