UK-based indie hero Mike Bithell has revealed some stats about the performance of his latest release, Subsurface Circular.
Speaking at DICE Europe, and later highlighting information on Twitter (below), the developer revealed that only two per cent of its launch customers have refunded the title.
Furthermore; the game made its money back in just three weeks, with the developer saying that shorter titles are something his studio is going to explore more in the future. Bithell has admitted that his success here could be an outlier given that he is already an established developer.
Just revealed at dice that our launch week refund rate on Subsurface Circular was just 2% (on a game under 2 hours long). Thanks PC gamers.

Bithell surprised launched Subsurface Circular last month – he told us why he opted to simultaneously release and announce the game shortly after. The indie developer is also publishing The Gamedev Business Handbook, written by ex-Game Informer journo Mike Futter.
