Behaviour Interactive opens second UK studio

Dead by Daylight maker Behaviour Interactive has set up a brand new studio in the UK.

Based in Truro, Cornwall, this is the second office that the company has established in the region following the acquisition of Middlesbrough-based SockMonkey Studios in February of this year.

This Cornwall-headquartered outfit is being named Behaviour UK South and is primarily made up of staff from AntiMatter Games, which was shut down in May of this year. AntiMatter's former CEO Rich Barham is helming Behaviour UK South as general manager.

"Fundamentally, Truro is a beautiful place with a good standard for quality of life – that's important to Behaviour," Wayne Meazza, EVP of Behaviour Services said, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz.

"It was also an opportunity to help a talented studio and give security to people in the UK games industry who were in danger of losing their jobs. We had an opportunity to meet key members of the AntiMatter team through the interview process. Their culture was similar to Behaviour - an environment where people can grow and learn, with emphasis on a good work-life balance. We wanted to help preserve that."
