Industry vet Kiki Wolfkill has seemingly departed Halo maker 343 Industries.
That's according to her LinkedIn profile – as spotted by VGC – which indicates that she left her position as head of transmedia and entertainment at the developer this month.
Wolfkill has not departed from parent company Microsoft, however, having moved to hold the role of head of Xbox IP expansion and entertainment since November 2022. That sure sounds like more or less the same thing she was doing at 343 Industries, though covering the entire of Microsoft's games IP strategy. We've emailed Microsoft to find out more.
Coincidentally, that was around the time that Netflix announced it was making a feature film and animated TV show based on the Xbox franchise Gears of War. It also comes hot on the heels of Microsoft's freshman attempt at adapting its IP in the NBC Halo television series, an effort that was met with a mixed response.
Wolfkill joined 343 back in 2008 as the executive producer on Halo 4.
This news comes in the wake of Microsoft announcing it was laying off 10,000 members of staff around the world. Games teams such as 343 and Bethesda have been impacted by these cuts.
