Tencent Games appoints Zoran Roso marketing boss for global publishing

Chinese tech giant Tencent Games has hired industry vet Zoran Roso as the marketing director for its global publishing team.

This appointment is apparently part of the company's strategy to build up its international presence. Roso has worked in the games industry for almost 20 years, having held marketing roles at the likes of Take-Two, Blizzard, Activision Blizzard and Sony Interactive Entertainment.

"We are very happy to have secured the services of Zoran whose wealth of experience will be invaluable as Tencent Games grows its international marketing team to support titles from both our internal teams and our partner studios," global marketing director David Tyler said.

Speaking of Tencent's international presence, the United States is currently investigating the Chinese firm's dealings overseas, including its proposed acquisition of the UK's Sumo Group.
