Codemasters vet Sagnier has joined VR firm NDreams

The former CEO of UK racing studio Codemasters, Frank Sagnier, has joined virtual reality company NDreams.

The games vet has come on board as non-executive chair of the board at the virtual reality specialist with immediate effect.

Sagnier was CEO at Codemasters from 2014 until earlier this year. Both he and CFO Rashid Varachia stepped down from their positions at the company in the wake of Electronic Arts' $1.2 billion acquisition of the racing developer in February 2021.

“I am delighted to join NDreams’ board to help the company achieve its mission to become a world-leading developer and publisher of VR games,” Sagnier said.

“Over the past few years, Patrick has built a reputable studio with highly talented teams delivering high-quality games. The fast-improving hardware together with highly immersive and innovative player experiences means the VR market is bound to see significant growth and exciting times ahead.”

NDreams CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh added: “I’m thrilled to welcome Frank to the nDreams board. I’ve known him since he was building up EA Partners, and I am certain that his wisdom, experience, passion, and drive will push us forwards as we head towards some very ambitious goals. Frank is a force of nature, and it’s exciting to have him on our side."
