The Big Indie Pitch is back on the road and continuing the first half of its 2019 season with a return visit to the Estonian capital of Tallinn. Last year our first ever Baltic pitch offered up some of the biggest surprises of the whole year, so why not come join as we return to the GameDevDays Conference to once again focus the spotlight on some of the world's best indie developers.

The unique speed dating format gives each developer 4 minutes with each panel of experts, meaning entrants will get real feedback from the event. There's editorial coverage in Pocket Gamer, AppSpy and beyond on offer, making this a great chance to get you, your studio and your game played by the world. Alongside the chance to win free entry to Pocket Gamer Connects, alongside one of our bespoke Indie Prizes which allow the recipients access to a range of Steel Media's advertorial and consultancy services. There's also the prestigious Big Indie Pitch baseball bat too!

What? How? Who?

How it’ll work couldn’t be simpler. We’re inviting indie developers of all shapes and sizes along to pitch their games to our teams of tame journalists.

Twenty teams will run the gauntlet, giving their all in quickfire four-minute pitches to demonstrate that their title is worth of the Big Indie Pitch crown and coverage in the mobile games media.

The basic criteria:

  • You can pitch games for mobile, portable (including Switch), mobile VR, and AR
  • You can pitch your game even if you’ve pitched it at a previous BIP
  • We prefer to see unreleased games, though we’re happy to see games that are out too

Profile and prizes

Aside from editorial coverage and the chance to get their game in front of the leading media influencers and potential publisher partners, The Big Indie Pitch also rewards the top developers with a range or bespoke Indie Prizes which allow the recipients access to a range of Steel Media's advertorial and consultancy services. We'll also be interviewing the top three for PocketGamer.Biz. and the overall winner will additionally receive free tickets to a Pocket Gamer Connects of their choice.

Take part

If you fancy the chance of winning the Big Indie Pitch (or coming along to spectate and show your support), getting signed up couldn’t be easier.

Simply sign up here using our REGISTRATION PAGE.

We'll then review the entries and inform the finalists regarding their inclusion.

All submissions will be notified if they are successful in their application to pitch at the event. Please note that all entrants must be able to attend the event and Steel Media will not cover cover costs associated with getting to the event.

Deadline for submissions is April 8th (all approved pitchers will be emailed confirmation)

The event is completely FREE so sign up as a developer to let us know you're coming BUT be sure to sign up/come early as space is limited.

If you don't get into the competition, you are of course more than welcome to still come along and check out the action.

Oh and if you're not sure what to expect, then you can check out all the epicness from our recent Big Indie Pitch at G-STAR 2018, which took place as a part of South Korea's biggest show.
