Atari has revived Infogrames as a publishing label

Legacy games brand Atari has brought back Infogrames.

The brand has been revived as a publishing label, with the aim of acquiring IP and releasing games that aren't within Atari's usual stable of legacy properties. That being said, Infogrames output may eventually include legacy IP.

“For decades, Infogrames built a reputation as a publisher and developer of amazing and eclectic games, and we are excited to bring it back,” Atari chair and CEO Wade Rosen (pictured) said.

The first IP acquisition that Infogrames has made is Totally Reliable Delivery Service from troubled indie label TinyBuild.

“With Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Infogrames is starting off with a strong IP that has a loyal and enthusiastic player base,” Infogrames boss Geoffroy Châteauvieux said.

“The Infogrames team will be able to expand upon the strong work of TinyBuild, and re-energize this high-potential franchise.”
