Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment has revealed that FBC: Firebreak has been played by over one million users so far.
The studio announced the milestone on Twitter on June 26th, nine days after its initial June 17th release date. This number is player figures, not sales data, as Firebreak is available on both the Xbox Game Pass and the PlayStation Plus subscription services.
There's also no breakdown as to how many players are on individual platforms, though on Steam the game has managed a peak of 1,992 concurrent users – according to SteamDB data – which isn't exactly promising.
"As of last night, we have surpassed 1 million players in FBC: Firebreak," Remedy wrote.
"This is a significant milestone, so thank you for playing from all of us at Remedy.
We know there is still a lot of work ahead of us, and we are super-motivated about it. We have a lot of exciting things cooking for Firebreak players! More about that soon."
FBC: Firebreak is Remedy's first foray into multiplayer games. The title was announced as Project Condor back in 2021 with 505 Games as its publisher initially. Since then, Remedy acquired the Control IP and self-published the title.
