Xbox Game Pass could stream to PC in the future

Subscribers to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service could be able to stream titles to PC in the future.

That's according to the Big M's games chief Phil Spencer (pictured), who replied to a post on Twitter saying that at some point, users will be able to broadcast games to their PC or console rather than having to download them.

Such a feature would allow players to test out a title before committing to downloading huge projects. At the moment, xCloud is only available on phones.

"We want to do this," Spencer wrote.

"It's in the long list of cool things the xCloud team is working on, just a bit further down the list. But we want console and PC players to be able to browse as easily as mobile players, it's a good Game Pass feature."

Subscribers to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier will receive access to Microsoft's xCloud streaming service.
