This War of Mine has raised $500k for charity, has been bought 4.5m times

Critically acclaimed indie survival game This War of Mine has been bought 4.5m times across all major platforms since its 2014 launch.

Developer and publisher 11 bit Studios announced the milestone via Twitter (below), saying that it has raised $500,000 for the War Child charity, too, via sales of its DLC.

The Polish studio has provided a bit of detail as to the game's sales, saying that its biggest market is - perhaps unsurprisingly - the United States of America, with its smallest being Christmas Island, where just one unit has been sold.

11 bit recently announced its financial results for 2018, too, saying that its net earnings rose over ten times from PLN 3.42m ($894,740) to PLN 37.55m ($9.8m).

Furthermore, the Polish firm is working on its next game, dubbed 'Project 8' (also spelt 'Projekt 8'), which boasts a budget of around PLN 20m ($5.2m). There's also preliminary work on two more titles following Project 8, with plans to double the size of the company in the next two-to-three years.

11 bit also discussed the company's publishing division, saying that in the medium-term the firm hopes to be releasing three-to-four games each year.
