Senior director at EA Ireland fired over alleged "dick" remarks

EA Ireland's director of global delivery service Philippe Grenet has been fired by the publishing giant over, um, talking about his dick to a female colleague.

That's according to The Irish Independent, which claims that Grenet was accused of saying "going to pull my dick out and put it on the table... to see who has the bigger dick" when in a video conversation with a female employee from EA's Texas office in Austin. Said colleague went on to make a complaint to HR.

In court, Grenet and his legal representation claimed he actually said: "I don't want to compare the length of my dick", to mean he didn't want to challenge the person whom he was talking about.

Grenet's defence counsel said that English was not his native tongue and that something might have been lost in translation.

Still, EA has terminated Grenet's employment, given that he apparently admitted wrongdoing. The former director claims the complainant had malicious intentions, having applied for the job he held at the time.

The publishing giant isn't able to fill his position, either, with the court filing an injunction to stop them hiring someone else until the trial is over.
