Ten reasons to come to Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2018 in September

For the fifth year running, Pocket Gamer Connects is descending upon Helsinki this coming September - bigger and better than ever.

As always, the conference is evolving and 2018's iteration is our most diverse and eclectic showing yet with 16 tracks across the two days at our new home of Scandic Marina Congress Centre.

Here we have collected the Top Ten reasons for the PC games audience to come by Pocket Gamer Connects, which is set to take place on September 11th and 12th.

ConnectsX!

This year's Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki will be featuring some of the biggest names from the world of PC games on the ConnectsX track.

This is taking place on the afternoon of September 11th, and will feature speakers sharing their insights into the PC games space - from publishers to developers, middleware firms and much, much more.

As always this will be a roster of short, sharp talks of 15 to 20 minutes of length meaning we can cram in that much more extra goodness.

The full line-up of speakers will be announced soon - and we're still after speakers, too, so if you fancy coming along and sharing your insight then please do get in touch at [email protected]

The Big Indie Pitches

As always, where there's a video games event, there is a Big Indie Pitch. As well as the regular Big Indie Pitch for mobile titles, we also have the PC Indie Pitch for all developers in this sector.

The format is the same as always - creators have just five minutes to sit down with our panel of judges to pitch them their game. There are some big prizes up for grabs and studios can get some informed feedback from the talented members of the industry we have to give their opinion.

Lots of ways to get your game seen!

As well as The Big Indie PItches, our Big Indie Zone is going to be on the show floor with developers being able to show off their wares to an adoring public entirely free of charge with a ticket.

Reckon you have the next big thing sitting on your computer? Then sign up to get your game in front of thousands of people.

Our more diverse show yet!

As said earlier, this is our most eclectic show to date. Pocket Gamer Connects might be a brand known around the world for showcasing the biggest and smartest people in the mobile games space, but this year's show includes insights into not only the PC games space, but also the influencer marketing sector and AR and VR.

Over the course of 12 tracks, you can get a feel for the global games market from under one roof.

Two shows for the cost of one!

Wait, 12 tracks? Didn't you say 16 earlier?

Well - running side-by-side with the main event, Blockchain Gamer Connects presents an unrivalled conference schedule of industry experts and thought leaders already blazing trails in this revolutionary new sector, giving you access to a further four conference tracks delivered by 40 world-class speakers. You can read more about some of the confirmed speakers here.

Your ticket grants you access to both shows.

The entire industry will be there!

Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki is one of the tentpole events of the Finnish games calendar, with more than 160 world-class speakers coming to share their insight as well as a whopping 1,2000 industry professionals checking out what we have on offer. There will be more than 400 companies from across the games market, including developers, publishers, investors, analysts, users acquisition bods and much more.

That's on top of those representing emerging sectors, like blockchain, pro-gaming and influencer marketing.

Global Connects Party

Our events are famous for their after-hours shindigs - and rightly so! Not only are they a chance to unwind after a long day at the show, but they’re also a chance to extend your networking after the sun has set and the conference doors have closed for the day. Just because the show’s ended business for the day, that doesn’t mean you have to!

Pitch and Match

This is networking on a grand scale, with more that 1,200 delegates and 400 companies in attendance; that’s a lot of prospects to mine. But it can be hard to track down whoever you want to speak to, so we make our online meeting scheduler available free to all delegates, helping you find that perfect contact and arrange to meet them in person.

SpeedMatch

Whether you’re a developer looking for help releasing your game, or an investor seeking up-and-coming talent, these sessions pair developers in rapid succession with a series of publishers and investors in a series of speed-dating style meetings.

Buy now to save big!

That's a lot to take in, isn't it?

Well, if you fancy coming along snap up a ticket now to benefit from our Early Bird rate. This ends at midnight on July 31st and knocks up to £400 off the cost of tickets.

Save up to 20 per cent on your ticket and click here now to get your ticket to this industry-leading event.
