Windows 10 now boasts 600m monthly active users

Microsoft's operating system has hit a brand new milestone.

According to the tech company's CEO Satya Nadella, Windows 10 has now been installed on over 600m monthly active devices. This was revealed at the Microsoft annual shareholders meeting, as reported by GeekWire.

This is an increase of 100m monthly active users from earlier this year, but still comes in short of the one billion MAU goal for this point in time that Microsoft outlined in 2015.

The company has said that this was a tad optimistic in the past, but could be manageable in the next few years.

Recently Microsoft revealed that it had 53 monthly active users across its games business – that's taking in Windows 10, Xbox One and mobile titles.
