Atomhawk opens shop in Canada

UK-based design and art studio Atomhawk has set up a new studio on the other side of the Atlantic.

A new office in Vancouver, Canada will be run by creative director Maurice KImball, who has previously worked for the likes of Disney, Warner Bros and Microsoft in art direction, animator and concept artist roles.

“We’re extremely excited to be expanding our team into Canada and look forward to bringing our values of creating industry-leading art and design with a high quality of service to a new team and a growing client base across North America,” said Atomhawk director and founder Ron Ashtiani.

Kimball added: “It’s a great opportunity to be joining Atomhawk at such an exciting time in the company’s development. The team in Vancouver has already hit the ground running on some diverse and inspiring new projects and, with the support and experience of the UK team, we look forward to working with more creative partners in Canada and beyond.”

Atomhawk’s work to date includes UI, concept art, marketing and animation for the likes of Warner Bros, Microsoft and LEGO. Recent projects include Injustice 2, Eve Valkyrie and Mortal Kombat X – as well as films from the Marvel universe.
