12 indie games we saw at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki that you've got to check out

The Very Big Indie Pitch at PG Connects Helsinki 2025 showcased an great lineup of PC and console games, many of which felt like fantastic editions to the gaming space.

The Very Big Indie Pitch is a speed-dating style pitching competetion, that gives indie developers five minutes to present their games to a rotating panel of industry experts: Our judges. Pitchers recieve feedback and insight from experts who work in publishing, scouting, development, media and more - a wide range of the games industry is covered.

At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki, we had both a mobile version of the pitch and this dedicated PC and console version. In this article, we are taking a look at all of the PC and console projects that our judges got to see.

Meet, greet and play

This fast-paced event draws in developers from all sorts of stages of development, presented an mix of different genres and themes across the games. It's a fantastic networking opportunity and showcases some amazing work-in-progress titles.

These pitching sessions are a staple in all PG Connects conferences and associated gaming events worldwide, as they offer such a unique insight into regional development scenes and give indies the chance to meet such fantastic experts.

Below, we've compiled - in no particular order - the complete lineup of games presented during the PC and console pitch session. Each entry includes a brief preview to help you discover your next potential game of the year.

  • 1 Muri: Wildwoods

    Muri: Wildwoods is a cozy, cleaning adventure game where you must explore a mysterious island, full of different creatures and hidden secrets, through cleaning away corruption. Through restoring the beauty of the island, you will save the forest spirit. There are tons of relaxing puzzles, creatures that you can befriend, and a purpose for the spirt of Wildwoods that has yet to be discovered.

    Muri: Wildwoods is coming to PC, Switch, Playstation and Xbox in June of 2026.


  • 2 Tactichord: Glam Strategy

     Tactichord: Glam Strategy is a mix of two genres; music and turn-based tactics. Using the power of rock, you have joined a band of ragtag metalheads, looking to land a big record deal and navigate the stressful lifestyle of rock and roll. Each character in the band has different actions that can be used on their turns, building up the ability to convert haters into fans! It's a unique twist on the two genres, creating something that feels quite refreshing and new. Tactichord: Glam Strategy doesn't have a set release date, but will be coming to PC, Switch, Playstation and Xbox.


  • 3 Brainshell

    Brainshell has you putting yourself in the role of the ultimate weapon; a ballistic missile with a nuclear warhead. This narrative driven psychological horror has you playing as something the government developed - a technology that uses human brains instead of computers. However, this technology has a serious downside on humans, affecting their psyche...

    Brainshell aims to release fully on PC in early 2026.


  • 4 Rogue Proxy

     

    Rogue Proxy is a 4X rogue-lite where you are commanding a hacker crew, looking to use real cyber-skulduggery tactics to take control of systems and exfilrate resources. The levels themselves are more bite-sized, with 20 to 40 minute runs, combined with 4X complexity to keep things engaging. The stories themselves are inspired by real cyber-secruity scenarios with retro-futuristic alternative futures being showcased throughout. 

    Rogue Proxy is set to release on PC and Switch in 2027.


  • 5 Splash Rats

    Splash Rats is a physics-based 2D co-op action game with liquid physics and systemic design. You play as a rat, alongside your rat friend, looking to solve various physics-based puzzles within your platforming world. 

    Splash Rats is set to launch on PC in 2026.


  • 6 Fortune Fragments

    Fortune Fragments is a narrative driven, hex tile puzzle RPG that takes place in a fantasty city called Clearcastle. You are tasked with running your own shop as a 'foreteller' and guiding your comsters fate by scrying into their souls. There are various hex-tile, spacial puzzles to solve, a large group of charaters who have problems that need solving, and a branching storyline where your choices can change the outcome. 

    Fortune Fragments is aiming to launch on PC in early 2026.


  • 7 ORMS

    Orms is a story-driven puzzle game where you play as Sam and Kira, two characters that each represent an emtoion. One is fear and one is courage - and they need to use their own abilities and realities and perspectives to solve puzzles. The world itself is shaped by fears and fractured memories, waiting for you to uncover the secrets and bring light back to a darkened lighthouse, which represents your healing.

    Orms is set to launch on Switch and PC in 2026.


  • 8 Lumios

    Lumios is a fast-paced, hack-and-slash action game where you play as a revived sun god defending an ancient alien world from a swarm of ravenous machines. Harness divine powers, unlock explosive weapons, and protect the sacred gardens with the guidance of wise elders.

    Lumios is set to release on PC and VR in 2027.


  • 9 EINS

    EINS is a narrative focused drama-horror game set in a near future where players can explore the past and present of AroTech headquarters. This company has a lot of hidden secrets that will slowly rise to the surface, along with information about your own personal history and the odd spider-like creatures that have been following you from behind the mirrors. 

    EINS is set to release on PC, Xbox and Platstation in 2027.


  • 10 Foghorns Drowning

    Foghorns Drowning is a short narrative psyhcological horror game about ferrymen in a small town shrouded in fog.

    Foghorns Drowning is set to release in early 2026.


  • 11 CAMPS

    CAMPS is an open-world tactical sandbox where you can immerse yourself in a fully procedurally-generated expanse featuring diverse biomes. Taking on the role of a mercenary you must complete contracts, gather resources, team up and build your private military company. The game also features and ingame editor, that allows for user-generated content to be created within the game.

    CAMPS is set to launch on PC in 2027.


  • 12 DeCypher: The Mind's Language


    DeCypher: The Mind's Language is a puzzle adventure game set in a homicide detective’s subconscious.

    You can become a “ghost” that has lost its memories and language skills, trapped inside the detective’s mind and need to figure out what is going on via decoding the mind’s language.

    DeCypher: The Mind's Language is set to release on PC at the end of 2025.
