Report: Halo director O'Connor has left Microsoft

The franchise creative director on Halo has seemingly departed Microsoft

That's according to Windows Central, which has spotted that his LinkedIn page has been updated to say he left the Big M this month. That would bring the end to an almost 19-and-a-half-year-long stint working on the Halo franchise. His LinkedIn now says that he is a franchise creative director 'NA'.

Microsoft hasn't officially announced anything on the topic, but we've reached out to them for comment.

O'Connor is seemingly the latest big name to depart Microsoft, and more specifically, Halo. Last week, Joseph Staten revealed that he was leaving the Big M after the end of two stints working on the Halo franchise at Microsoft. At the start of the year, it emerged that Kiki Wolfkill had left 343 Industries. This came amid news of layoffs at Microsoft.
