Activision Blizzard hires new people and commercial execs

US publishing giant Activision Blizzard has made two new additions to its senior exec team.

The firm has hired a chief people officer in Julie Hodges, who was previously an SVP of corporate HR, compensation, benefits and talent acquisition at Disney. She is starting on September 21st.

Meanwhile, Activision Blizzard has snapped up Sandeep Dube as chief commercial officer. He previously worked at airline Delta and is starting on September 27th.

“I share the company’s belief that a work environment should welcome all perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds,” Hodges said. “A workforce where everyone feels valued is critical to the success of our business, as is a trusting, engaging and safe environment that encourages creativity and innovation and in which all employees can thrive. It takes a collective effort to do this, and I’m looking forward to ensuring that we support the diversity of our talent to bring our people together and continue creating amazing entertainment.”

Dube added: “I couldn’t be more excited to join this team and work together to continue building our inclusive culture and to expand our audiences."

Activision Blizzard hiring a chief people officer comes in the wake of damning accusations about the company's working culture.
