People Can Fly vets open new studio Gruby

Developers formerly of Outriders maker People Can Fly have left to start their own studio called Gruby Entertainment.

The venture was founded last year by Grzegorz Michalak, Karol Szyska and Kamil Misiowiec, who have partnered with Super.com as the publishing partner for its first project. This is an unannounced first-person shooter. At the time of writing, Gruby has 15 employees.

“Super.com’s offer of cooperation has created a great growth environment for our studio,” said Misiowiec said.

“We are thrilled to expand our team and knowledge base, and show the world a fresh approach to action games!”

Super.com publishing director Anna Grigoreva added: “Super.com has followed a strategy of seeking out gifted developers such as Gruby Entertainment with advanced technical knowledge and providing them with the support they need to make their vision a reality. With their innovative take on video games, we know that their first title will push the genre’s boundaries and provide a rich experience for gamers.”

People Can Fly's most recent release, Outriders, was played by some 3.5 million people in its first month on sale.
