Madden senior producer Carlos Guerrero has been removed from EA after violating the publisher’s code of conduct.
The dismissal comes just two months after Guerrero’s appointment in May, taking over from Rex Dickson. Prior to this position, his work at Blizzard saw Guerrero contribute significantly to titles like Overwatch and World of Warcraft. His work on Madden was intended to help steer the American Football franchise towards a "games as a service" model.
Speaking to Game Informer, EA was unwilling to go into details over Guerrero’s dismissal. A statement from the publisher simply read: “Due to behavior that is against EA policies, including our Global Code of Conduct & Respectful Workplace policy, Carlos Guerrero is no longer with EA. We don’t have any further comments.”
Guerrero’s duties as executive producer will be taken on by Ron Harvey until a more permanent solution is found.
