Description
Before starting Game Science, we had a feeling that the game industry—compared to telecom or computing—was far from being regarded as a scientific discipline in China, and was instead filled with every kind of success hype rationalized in hindsight.
Yes, artistic creation indeed has its airy-fairy side, yet beyond that, we hope—as we gain hands-on experience through each project—to gradually find answers to some big questions. Questions like: "How do we build a convincing wilderness?" "How do we tell an immersive story with a mission?" "What constitutes a satisfying hit feedback?" "What distinguishes a great level from a dull one?" We are willing to dissect the finest benchmark titles, master cutting-edge technologies, and uncover the inner principles that make interactive entertainment so captivating.
Truth, boundless as it is, delights us at every step toward it. So, why "Game Science"? Because game development, like any other industry, is a rigorous discipline—99% perspiration + 1% inspiration, and never a bandwagon bet for opportunists.
