Parable Studios is an independent UK game studio focused on building AI-powered games in an ethical and sustainable way. Based in Leicestershire, the studio develops its own AI technology in-house, avoiding scraped data and server-dependent models. Parable’s work centres on actor-performed data, local AI inference and long-term creative ownership. The studio aims to demonstrate that indie developers can use advanced AI responsibly, without compromising on energy use, artistic integrity or player ownership. 

Its first game is Millennium Whisper, an AI-driven dating simulator set in the 1990s. Released in Early Access on Steam, it is the first game on the platform to run a large language model entirely on-device. Its characters are trained on performances by real actors, who retain ownership of their data and receive royalties.
