Description
The Esports World Cup Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports the development and growth of the esports and games sectors. The Foundation serves as the hosting entity of the Esports World Cup.
The Esports World Cup (EWC) is an annual event and global celebration of competitive gaming and fandom. The competition features a unique cross-game format that pits the world's top esports clubs against one another for the largest prize pool in esports history.
The inaugural EWC competition and festival in 2024 drew 500 million viewers online and saw 2.6 million people attend.
The Esports World Cup Foundation’s mission is to advocate for the esports industry - players, fans, and businesses alike - and to support its financial stability. As a non-profit entity, any proceeds earned by the Foundation are reinvested back into the sector.
In addition to serving as the hosting entity of the Esports World Cup, the Foundation also partners with various stakeholders to create initiatives to help further advance the global esports industry.
