Palworld surpassed 25m players in its first month

Early Access smash hit Palworld has attracted more than 25 million players within its first month on sale.

That's according to developer Pocketpair, which has revealed that the game has sold 15 million copies on Steam. The other ten million players have come from Xbox, where the title is available on the Game Pass subscription service.

Palworld has brought in three million players on each platform since the start of February; at that time, the game was at 19 million users, with 12 million copies sold on Steam and seven million users on Xbox.

“The response from fans has been tremendous and it’s incredible to see the millions of players around the world enjoying Palworld," Pocketpair's CEO, Takuro Mizobe, said at the time.

"This is just the beginning for us and Palworld, and the feedback we’re gathering while in Game Preview will allow us to continue to improve the experience for Pal Tamers across all platforms.”

Palworld launched on January 19th and sold five million units in its first three days in the wild.

Though the game has been very successful, it has also attracted the gaze of The Pokémon Company, who is looking into the similarities between its own IP and Palworld.
