12 jobs cut at Wayfarer maker Airship Syndicate

12 members of staff at the developer Wayfarer, Airship Syndicate, are being made redundant.

That's according to Polygon senior reporter Nicole Carpenter, who posted on Twitter that the company's management – president Ryan Stefanelli and CEO Joe Madureira – will be seeing their pay cut as a part of the changes at the company.

"This decision was made to ensure that Airship Syndicate can continue to operate and deliver great experiences," a spokesperson for the studio said.

In late 2023, Wayfarer's publisher, Digital Extremes, announced that it was pulling out of the project. The Warframe make was experiencing its own layoffs at the time.

Airship Syndicate was founded in 2014. Wayfarer – its fourth title – launched into Steam Early Access last year.
