PTW's Side sets up shop in Tokyo

Audio specialist Side is opening a new office in Tokyo.

This new outpost will be focusing on providing Japanese dialogue, on top of other audio services to companies outside of the country.

Side Tokyo is being headed up by Hiroshi Takao.

“Tokyo has been in our company DNA since day one – we expand our business based on a number of factors, but Japan specifically has always been at the top of our list for Side due to the local talent and cultural impact Japanese games have had on the entire industry; in many ways, they set the tone,” Pole to Win CEO Deborah Kirkham said.

“A local presence lets us leverage our global expertise to work hand-in-hand with our clients on their flagship IP, in their backyard.”

This follows Side setting up studios in Paris, London, Shanghai, Montreal, and Los Angeles.
