Keywords opening new Tantalus studios in Australia

Services and development giant Keywords is opening two new studios in Australia.

The firm is expanding Tantalus Media, which it acquired back in 2020. These two new studios – Tantalus North and Tantalus South – are going to be set up in Brisbane and Adelaide respectively, something that is designed to expand the Australian games industry outside of Melbourne. At the moment, Keywords reckons that 57 per cent of the Australian games industry is based in Melbourne. These two new studios are set to hire 30 members of staff in the coming months.

These new studios will be focused on game development and will be working closely with Tantalus Media's headquarters in Melbourne.

“Keywords Studios’ presence in Australia has grown rapidly to five studios across three states, employing over 170 people," Keywords' Australia's head of new studios and integrations Tom Davies said.

"However, this is only the start. We are very excited about what our team has achieved already and look forward to an exciting future.”
