Wargaming Alliance signs with Mad Head Games for new multiplayer title

Wargaming's Alliance publishing arm will be handling the release of a brand new title from Mad Head Games.

The 141-person strong Serbian developer is working on a new multiplayer game.

Alliance will be helping out on the publishing side of things, including marketing, community management and customer service, in addition to a "physical presence in all target markets".

“Mad Head Games is truly one of the most passionate and energised development teams I’ve had the pleasure of working with,” said Wargaming Alliance chief Jerry Prochazka.

“I’m excited to welcome them to the Alliance and partner closely on bringing their new unannounced title to the Wargaming portfolio.”

Mad Head Games CEO Nenad Tomić added: “After years spent in the casual industry, we decided to pivot, go back to our hardcore roots and start making games we grew up on,. After crossing paths with Wargaming, we understood that we had met someone who shared our vision and passion and was willing to help us make something ambitious and truly extraordinary.”

Wargaming Alliance launched at the end of 2016 with the World of Tanks teaming up with Sega to launch Total War: Arena.

Speaking to PCGamesInsider.biz at Gamescom 2017, Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi described the Alliance label as "business development" to find new titles and studios that could be the next big thing.
