Frozen Vision’s Axion X wins out at PC Indie Pitch Helsinki

Turn-based real-time racing game (yes, you did read that right) Axiom X from Finnish developer Frozen Vision was voted as the winner of PC Indie Pitch at Helsinki.

The title impressed judges with both a stellar pitch and an intriguing concept; a racing title where gamers were able to plan their next move every five seconds.

Second place went to Winter Survival from Iceflake Studios. Just one month into development when the judges saw it in Helsinki, it blew them away with its gorgeous art style and just how much the studio had to show for itself given its rather short development time.

Meanwhile, third place was picked up by Deep Sky Derelicts from Snowhound Games. Pitched as Darkest Dungeon in space, this project received votes for its art style, that was reminiscent of 1980s comic book designs.

Thank you to everyone who came and pitched at our event in Helsinki. As always, our panel of judges was spoilt by the quality of games on display.

And speaking of our judges, we’d like to thank them for giving up their time to come be part of the Big PC Indie Pitch.

Our next PC Indie Pitch is taking place at Poznan’s Games Industry Conference next week on October 5th.
