Microsoft ends support for Windows 10

Tech giant Microsoft is no longer supporting its Windows 10 operating system.

The company has said that as of today (October 14th), it will no longer be providing any additional technical support or updates (technical and security) for those using this tech.

As for what users still on this OS should do, Microsoft is pushing consumers towards the more up-to-date Windows 11.

"At this point technical assistance, feature updates and security updates will no longer be provided," the company wrote

"If you have devices running Windows 10, we recommend upgrading them to Windows 11- a more modern, secure, and highly efficient computing experience. If devices do not meet the technical requirements to run on Windows 11, we recommend that you enroll in the Windows 10 Consumer Extended Security Updates (ESU) program or replace the device with one that supports Windows 11."

At last official count, over 32 per cent of Steam users are playing on hardware running Windows 10.
