CHARTS: Battlefield 6 pre-orders take No.2 on Steam

Pre-orders for the upcoming Battlefield 6 were the second highest grossing game on Steam last week.

The shooter rose up five spots week-on-week following it being featured at PlayStation's latest State of Play broadcast. Battlefield 6 is set to launch on October 7th. Pre-orders for fellow military shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 also appeared in the Top Ten this week in ninth place, up 45 spots, thanks to an open beta.

Counter-Strike 2 was once again the No.1 game on Steam for the week, while Valve's Steam Deck hardware sits pretty in third place. RPG Digimon Story Time Stranger made its debut in fourth place in the wake of its October 2nd launch; the title has already hit a peak of 69,460 concurrent users on Steam.

EA Sports FC 26 dropped three spots to fifth, while indie hit Megabonk rose four places to sixth on the back of hype and coverage from streamers. Cyberpunk 2077 rose six places to No.6 on the back of it being featured in the Steam Autumn Sale, coming in ahead of Dota 2, which dropped three places to eighth.

Rounding off the Top Ten is Endnight Games' Sons of the Forest, which rose 62 places week-on-week.
