US games firm Dreamhaven is making cuts to its workforce.
In a post on LinkedIn, co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime wrote that he had made the decision to reduce the size of the company. Dreamhaven's publishing arm is the main target of these cuts.
"These choices are never easy — they affect talented colleagues who have played a key role in building Dreamhaven’s foundation and supporting what has been an eventful year for us," Morhaime wrote.
"From organising the Dreamhaven Showcase to helping launch three games, every person at Dreamhaven has contributed to sharing our games with the world. I’m deeply grateful for the creativity, dedication, and hard work of the teammates we are parting ways with. They will be truly missed."
He continued: "To everyone who continues to support us — thank you. While today’s news is hard, I remain optimistic about Dreamhaven’s future and the experiences still to come."
Dreamhaven was founded back in 2020. So far the company has released two titles from its own studio, Wildgate and Sunderfolk, as well as two games from external developers in Mechabellum and Lynked.
