Development veteran Louise O'Connor has a new position as the chief of staff over at Xbox Game Studios.
That's according to LinkedIn – as reported by VGC – which shows that she took on this new role in August.
In this new position, O'Connor will be: "driving connection, collaboration and momentum across Xbox Games Studios and continuing my passion for game development by supporting some of the most iconic gaming studios, leaders and teams in the world."
Her moving to Xbox Game Studios follows a 25 year stint at Rare; she started as an animator back in 1999, rising all the way up to art director, then incubation director and then executive producer.
In that most recent position, O'Connor was leading work on new intellectual property Everwild, though this project was cancelled as part of a mass wave of redundancies, project cancellations and studio closure at Microsoft. Over 9,000 staff were impacted.
