Activision Blizzard staff to return to office

US publishing giant Activision Blizzard is mandating that staff return back to the office.

That's according to Twitter user @LeastMyHairIsOk, who claims to work at Blizzard – as spotted by VGC – saying that the company will be asking staff to come back to the office between April and June. Exactly how this will work out is going to vary from studio to studio.

“The majority of employees at ABK have no interest in returning to office either full or part time," they said.

"This isn’t to say that nobody sees the value in an office environment, but we’ve overall decided the risks do not outweight those benefits.”

In a statement, an Activision Blizzard spokesperson confirmed the news.

“Activision Blizzard has been returning teams to the office over the past year, and on February 13th, we updated our future-of-work plans. In close partnership with each leadership team, we customized a plan based on what’s best for our business and our teams," a rep said.

“We look forward to the increased real-time, in-person collaboration and opportunities this change will foster.”
