League of Legends maker Riot Games has said that esports organisation Echo Fox has another seven days to oust shareholder Amit Raizada.
The LA-based game maker announced on Twitter (below) that it had given the organisation an extra week to drop Raizada due to "ongoing discussions" with the pro-gaming body.
Previously the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) gave Echo Fox 60 days to do this following an "outrageous abhorrent display of pure racism" from Raizada. Failure to do so would result in "formal action" that could see the esports body pulled from the LCS in the future.
Founder Rick Fox previously said he'd leave Echo Fox but ultimately stayed to help force Raizada from the company's board.
Riot hasn't given a reason why Echo Fox has been given another seven days to give Raizada the push - or if the company will have further time if they can't oust the shareholder.
On May 15, the LCS directed Echo Fox to take appropriate corrective action within 60 days to remove those individuals whose actions have violated League rules and agreements. Based on our ongoing discussions with Echo Fox, we are extending our deadline for compliance by 7 days.— lolesports (@lolesports) July 15, 2019
