Developer Brace Yourself opens indie publishing label

Games developer Brace Yourself has opened a brand new indie publishing label.

This was unveiled in a post on Twitter, in which the company said that it was planning on using what it had learnt to assist other studios bring their games to market. The firm initially intends to only work with a small number of developers.

Brace Yourself is the developer behind titles such as Crypt of the Necrodancer, the Zelda-themed spin-off Cadence of Hyrule, as well as Phantom Brigade. The outfit also currently has city builder Industries of Titan in Early Access.

"After nearly a decade of developing games, we now want to use the resources and knowledge we've gained to help smaller indie developers make their own dream projects a reality," the company wrote on Twitter.

The firm continued on its website: "At BYG, we aren’t looking to publish hundreds of games — we want to work with a small handful of games to which we give our full attention and care. It’s important to us that we only publish games that we love and believe in, with teams that we’re very proud to work with."
