V Rising surpasses 1m sales in first week

Vampire survival title V Rising has sold over one million copies within seven days of its release.

That's according to developer Stunlock Games, which posted the milestone on Twitter thanking those who had supported the title so far. V Rising was released into Steam Early Access on May 17th. Within three days of launch, the title had sold over half a million copies.

"1,000,000 Vampires have risen from their slumber," the developer wrote.

In its first week on sale, the title was the best-selling game on Steam. Since its release, V Rising has hit a peak of 150,645 concurrent players on the PC platform, according to SteamCharts. Shifting one million units in a week puts it level with previous Early Access smash hit Valheim, which managed the same feat within seven days of launch
