Rainbow Six Siege hits 35m players

Ubisoft has announced the latest milestone for its online tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege.

On-stage at the French publisher's E3 showcase, the firm revealed that 35m people have played the Ubisoft Montreal-developed project. That's five million more than the last milestone, announced in April, and ten million new places since the end of 2017.

In addition to this, Ubisoft revealed that a documentary about Rainbow Six: Siege is on the way. Another Mindset goes behind the scenes on the esports side of the game, following eight members of the community over the course of nine months.

"Our communtiy inspires and drives us every single day,"said Justin Kruger, community developer on stage.

"The Siege team back in Montreal has been sok inspired by the millions of people playing our game every single day over the last two years. We've loved watching ou rcommunity grow and i'm excited to announce today that the Rainbow Six Siege community is now 35m players."
