Over one million players have gone monster hunting in the Dauntless open beta

Phoenix Labs has revealed that over one million players have taken part in the open beta launch of Dauntless.

The studio released an infographic this Wednesday, listing a wide range of various statistics regarding the open beta so far. Over 1,064,484 player characters (slayers) have been created since the beta launched on May 24th. That roughly correlates to 50,000 new users every day.

The statistics also list some other nifty milestones. Over six billion meters have been traversed by players, and 2,200 bugs have been reported and fixed. Dauntless is selling itself as a PC alternative for fans of Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise, and certainly seems to have gained solid traction from a wider crowd.

“The Dauntless Open Beta has exceeded all of our expectations,” said Phoenix Labs on its website. “From the number of Slayers that have arrived to forge their legends, to their determination to stand against the Behemoth onslaught, to the unique creations that Dauntless players are creating — we’re blown away.
