Conan Exiles takes a hefty swing at Steam’s No. 3 spot

Conan Exiles took on a mighty quest to reach the No.3 spot in the Steam Top Ten last week.

Conan Exiles, a survival game of swords and savagery, launched out of a year of Early Access last Tuesday. Concurrent user counts have skyrocketed in the week since. Developer Funcom has been rapidly bringing new servers online across all platforms to keep up with demand.

Released on the same day as Conan, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire comes to port in fourth place. With the first title ushering in a renaissance of classic RPGs back in 2015, Obsidian’s follow-up looks to prove that demand for traditional adventuring is still high.

Another Early Access survival veteran, The Forest hasn’t been swayed by cock-sure newcomer Conan. Endnight’s entry slips only one spot down to sixth place.

Stardew Valley remains popular since the multiplayer beta rolled out at the end of April. The charming farming title charted in at seventh place, a three-position drop from last week.

Frostpunk continues to crawl down the chart at a glacial pace, landing two spots down at fifth position. Strategy contemporary Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia doesn’t seem to fare so well, drops from second place down to No.8 after one week.

Far Cry 5 closes off the list, slipping from eighth to tenth from last week.

Below is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending May 12th.

  1. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp
