THQ and Virgin vet Roy Campbell is Bethesda's new UK MD

The UK branch of Fallout and Elder Scrolls giant Bethesda has a new managing director in industry veteran Roy Campbell.

The new MD has been consulting with Bethesda for some time for the past year. Prior to that spent 30 years in the UK games market, having held roles at the likes of THQ, Virgin Interactive, Infogrames and City Interactive.

He will be reporting into Sean Brennan, Bethesda's EU MD and will be based in the publishing giant's London office.

“It’s an honour to join Bethesda at such an exciting time. They had a great 2017 and, with the year ahead, I know that 2018 will be even bigger and better," said Campbell.

“The UK team is full of amazingly talented individuals who are ready to meet the challenges of the years ahead. I look forward to working alongside such a passionate team and helping them accomplish countless successes”.

Brennan added: “Roy brings great gravitas, experience and knowledge from his many years in the games industry and we feel confident that he can lead the UK team very successfully across all areas of the business."
