EA’s Andrew Wilson joins Intel board of directors

The CEO of publishing giant EA has been elected to PC specialist Intel’s board.

The appointment brings the total number of board members to 12. Wilson joined EA in 2000 as VP and executive producer before rising to head up EA Sports. He took on the CEO role in September 2013.

“Andrew understands first-hand how technology and data create opportunity with his transformation of EA from offline packaged goods to a leader in online digital services,” Intel chair Andy Bryant said.

“In addition to his experience leading and growing a global, technology-driven company, Andrew possesses a combination of creativity and business acumen that will further strengthen Intel’s board.”
